Dovrefjell is known for Europe's only wild living Muskox strain. The Muskox cow can weigh up to 200 kg, while the bull can weigh around 450 kg. These are fast animals with a top speed of about 60 kilometers per hour.

Here you will also find the latest genetic reindeer strain from the ice age. For those who want to photograph and study wildlife, we offer Muskox Safari with our famous guide Ingmar.The price per person is NOK 600.
